How AI describes GTEx

The GTEx Portal is a public resource for researchers to study tissue- and cell-specific gene expression and regulation across individuals, development, and species, drawing on data from three NIH projects. The Adult GTEx dataset provides whole-genome sequencing, RNA-seq, and QTL data from about 1,000 non-diseased adults across 54 tissue sites, with tools for exploring gene and transcript expression, eQTLs, and histology images, plus access to biospecimens. The portal also includes Developmental GTEx and Non-Human Primate dGTEx projects (data not yet available) and offers open and protected data access on a Broad Institute-hosted platform.
