ServiceNow is probably the safest enterprise choice.
Its Orchestration capability is explicitly designed for complex multi-system tasks across remote services, servers, applications and hardware, with reusable/versioned workflow components.
It's especially compelling if ServiceNow is already your ITSM/CMDB platform because you're not introducing another system to own the workflow's governance and audit trail.
Choose it when: ITSM, CMDB, approvals, compliance and service management are central.
If what you really mean is:
“I need one automation layer that can make APIs talk to each other and execute complicated IT processes.”
I'd put Tines near the top of the list.
Tines describes itself as a vendor-agnostic workflow platform capable of connecting mainstream, niche and internal tools as long as they expose an API. It supports deterministic workflows as well as more agentic workflows.
That makes it particularly attractive for things like:

Choose it when: you already have an ITSM system and need a powerful automation/orchestration layer around it.
I'd put Torq on the shortlist if your IT organization works closely with SecOps.
Torq is positioning its platform around combining deterministic workflows with agentic AI, and specifically targets IT operations use cases such as provisioning, help-desk tickets and cross-tool remediation.
This is compelling if you want workflows like:
Alert → investigate → query systems → determine remediation → get approval if required → make change → verify → update ticket → document outcome
rather than merely:
Alert → create ticket.
Choose it when: security and IT automation increasingly overlap.
If your eventual ambition is:
IT + HR + Finance + CRM + ERP + SaaS + data + AI
then Workato deserves serious consideration.
It's more of an enterprise integration/process-automation platform than an IT-specific orchestration product. That's a feature if you don't want IT automation to become a silo.
Camunda is the option I'd investigate when you have mission-critical, long-running processes with complicated state, branching, human approvals and strong process-modeling requirements.
It's more engineering-heavy than Tines/ServiceNow, but that can be exactly what you want for highly controlled processes.
Don't choose based on the phrase “IT automation.”
There are actually three different problems:

And I'd make every vendor implement the exact same 3–5 ugly workflows, rather than evaluating them from demos.
