This is probably the safest choice if your priority is "I need to get there without thinking about charging."
The current Model 3 Long Range is rated around 363 miles EPA range in RWD form and can add up to 195 miles in 15 minutes at a Supercharger, with a 250-kW maximum.
More importantly, Tesla's advantage is the charging ecosystem. Why I'd choose it: For someone doing 300–500 highway miles several times a week, avoiding a single failed charging session can matter more than shaving five minutes off an otherwise successful stop.
Downside: The Ioniq 6 and Lucid can replenish range faster when connected to an appropriately powerful charger.
This is the one I'd buy if your definition of reliability is "when I plug in, I want an exceptionally predictable, short charging stop."
The 77.4-kWh Ioniq 6 uses an 800-V architecture and Hyundai rates 10–80% charging at about 18 minutes on a >350-kW charger. www.hyundaiusa.com Consumer Reports actually added about 180 miles during a 30-minute Electrify America stop in testing.
The particularly impressive thing is the charging curve, rather than its headline 235-kW peak. The Ioniq 6 has also been rated by EV drivers as the top vehicle for charging speed in Plug In America's 2025 survey.
The Long Range RWD version is also extraordinarily efficient, with a 342-mile EPA rating in the 2025 configuration.
Big caveat for 2026: the charging network matters. CCS infrastructure is less consistently trouble-free than Tesla's network. Hyundai's NACS adapter gives CCS-port Ioniq 6 owners access to Tesla Superchargers, although Hyundai says V3 Superchargers limit these cars to roughly 95–125 kW. owners.hyundaiusa.com So I would favor the Ioniq 6 if your regular corridors have good 350-kW CCS/Ionna/EA coverage—not simply because it has an 800-V battery.
The Lucid Air is the highway-range king. The current 2026 lineup is rated up to 512 miles EPA for the Grand Touring, while even the Pure is rated at 420 miles. Lucid claims the GT can add 200 miles in 12 minutes on a 350-kW charger.
Real-world charging data show why the Air is interesting: an Air GT has been observed starting around 338 kW, remaining above 250 kW for several minutes and adding roughly 200+ miles in about 15 minutes.
And the newer Lucid ecosystem is improving: Lucid now has native NACS on newer vehicles and access to the Tesla Supercharger network.
Why it's not #1: You're paying substantially more, and the advantage is more about range + charging performance than having the simplest charging ecosystem. For a fleet-style sales job, I'd take a Model 3's network convenience over the Air's spectacular specifications unless your routes routinely exceed 400 miles.
The i4 isn't the charging-speed champion, but it's an excellent choice if you spend many hours inside the car, meeting customers and carrying work gear.
Its charging isn't as spectacular as the Ioniq 6 or Lucid, but the car itself is mature, comfortable and efficient. BMW's ecosystem and NACS transition also make it increasingly practical for highway travel.
I'd pick the i4 over the faster-charging cars if comfort, cabin quality and conventional luxury-sedan feel are nearly as important as minimizing charging time.
For your particular use case, I'd weight them approximately:
40% charger-network reliability
25% charging curve
20% highway efficiency/range
10% route planning/preconditioning
5% peak charging power
That produces a different winner than a simple "fastest charging EV" list.
The Ioniq 6 can be spectacularly fast when everything is working. But if you're a salesperson driving I-95, I-75, I-10, I-95/I-85 or similar corridors every week, I'd rather have the Model 3's extremely mature Supercharger ecosystem.

One final point: for a sales rep, I'd choose the specific car/network combination based on your actual territory. A theoretically superior charging car can lose badly if your regular routes have sparse or unreliable 350-kW stations.
